Responsibilities:
- Design and implement transmission network configurations based on project requirements and network architecture guidelines.
- Perform configuration changes, upgrades, and optimizations to enhance network performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve network issues related to transmission configurations.
- Conduct performance analysis and capacity planning to support network expansion and upgrades.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to transmission configurations, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in transmission technologies and network configurations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians.

Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field
- 5 years of experience in designing and configuring transmission networks, preferably in optical networks.
- Proficiency in network protocols such as TCP/IP, MPLS, Ethernet, etc.
- Hands-on experience with transmission equipment from vendors such as Ciena, Nortel, Marconi, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, etc., are a plus.
