Sr Consultant - SAP

Bristlecone India Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Specialist in SAP ABAP to join our S4 HANA Technical - Delivery department. The role involves developing robust, scalable SAP solutions, enhancing existing functionality, integrating systems, and ensuring high performance. You will work closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical deliverables and support the full lifecycle of SAP applications.

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on ABAP development experience, preferably on S/4HANA.
• Strong expertise in ABAP OO, BAPI, BADI, User Exits, and Enhancement Framework.
• Experience with SAP integration technologies (IDoc, ALE, OData, SOAP/REST).
• Proven track record in performance tuning and debugging complex ABAP programs.
• Good understanding of SAP modules (FI, MM, SD) and business processes.
• Ability to work closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills in English; Hindi proficiency is a plus.
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• SAP certification (e.g., ABAP Development) is desirable.

• Design, develop, and maintain ABAP objects (reports, interfaces, BAPIs, enhancements) in S/4HANA environment.
• Implement and support integrations using IDocs, ALE, OData, and web services.
• Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning to ensure optimal runtime.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior ABAP developers.
• Participate in solution architecture discussions and contribute to technical design documents.
• Manage transport requests and ensure proper change management procedures.
• Conduct unit testing, support integration testing, and resolve defects.
• Optimize existing custom code for scalability and SAP best practices.
• Stay updated with SAP S/4HANA releases and incorporate new features.
