Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through client meetings, stakeholder interviews, and requirement workshops.
- Conduct business process analysis and Fit-Gap assessments to identify process improvements and recommend appropriate D365 F&O solutions.
- Configure and support D365 F&O Finance modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, Cash and Bank Management, and Taxation.
- Support project management, inventory, and costing processes where they intersect with finance requirements.
- Prepare Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), Functional Design Documents (FDDs), functional specifications, and user manuals.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and coordinate with technical teams for development, integrations, and issue resolution.
- Prepare and execute System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios and support defect resolution.
- Support data migration, financial data validation, reconciliation, and go-live activities.
- Assess change requests and conduct functional impact analysis to determine their effect on existing processes and configurations.
- Deliver end-user training, prepare process documentation, and support user adoption.
- Provide post-go-live functional support and resolve finance-related application issues.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial controls, reporting, operational efficiency, and business processes.
- Dynamics 365 F&O Finance: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, Cash and Bank Management, and Taxation.
- Financial Processes: General accounting, journal processing, financial closing, reconciliations, accounts management, and financial controls.
- Functional Configuration: Finance module setup, business rules, financial dimensions, workflows, and related configurations.
- Business Analysis: Requirement gathering, Fit-Gap analysis, process mapping, gap assessment, and solution recommendations.
- Functional Documentation: BRDs, FRDs, FDDs, functional specifications, process flows, and user manuals.
- Testing & Validation: SIT, UAT, test case preparation, defect tracking, data validation, and reconciliation.
- Data & Integration: Data migration, data quality, and understanding of integrations across D365 F&O modules.
- Client Engagement: Requirement workshops, stakeholder communication, end-user training, and functional support.
- Bachelors or masters degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; CA or CA Inter qualification is also suitable.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 F&O Finance Functional consulting.
- Strong understanding of D365 F&O Finance modules and accounting processes.
- Experience with requirement gathering, Fit-Gap analysis, configuration, and functional documentation.
- Hands-on experience supporting SIT, UAT, implementations, data migration, and production support.
- Experience working directly with clients and conducting requirement workshops.
- Understanding of integration points across D365 F&O Finance and related modules.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple requirements and coordinate effectively with technical and functional teams.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance certification or other relevant Microsoft certifications.
- Knowledge of Indian GST, statutory requirements, and India localization.
- CA, CA Inter, or other relevant professional finance qualifications.
- Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, costing, and financial process optimization.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum project delivery and change management practices.
