About this role
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for enterprise web applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Playwright with TypeScript, prior experience with Selenium automation, and a passion for improving software quality through automation.
Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Migrate and modernize existing Selenium-based automation frameworks to Playwright.
- Develop reusable automation components using Page Object Model (POM) and framework best practices.
- Create and execute UI, API, regression, smoke, and sanity test suites.
- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyze test failures, troubleshoot defects, and work closely with development teams.
- Participate in test planning, estimation, and automation strategy discussions.
- Ensure automation code quality, maintainability, and scalability.
- Mentor junior automation engineers and perform code reviews.
- Prepare automation reports and quality metrics for stakeholders.
Required Skills:
Must Have:

- 5+ years of overall QA Automation experience.
- 2-3+ years of hands-on experience in Playwright with TypeScript.
- Strong experience in Selenium WebDriver.
- Experience in framework development using Page Object Model (POM).
- Strong knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, or related programming languages.
- Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar version control tools.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have:

- API automation using Playwright/API testing tools.
- Experience with Healthcare domain applications.
- Understanding of HIPAA compliance requirements.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps Pipelines, or GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of AI-assisted test automation and automation accelerators.
Preferred Candidate Profile:

- Strong automation-first mindset.
- Experience in large-scale test automation and migration projects.
- Ability to work independently in outcome-based delivery models.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience handling enterprise healthcare or regulated industry applications is an advantage.
