What will your day look like

As a Senior Associate, Technology Risk Prompt Engineering, you will:

    • Supporting delivery of the insights plan by translating priority insight routines into a practical delivery backlog of automation and agent use-cases (as agreed with the Senior Manager, Technology Risk Insights)
    • Working with Risk Officers and SMEs to capture repeatable workflows (report refreshes, evidence collation, control attestations, issues tracking) and translating them into clear automation/agent requirements with agreed acceptance criteria
    • Building and maintaining insight assets (datasets, definitions, lineage notes, dashboards and briefing packs) that provide timely, trusted insight on control effectiveness, resilience outcomes, risk-in-change and remediation progress
    • Building and maintaining workflow automations (data extraction, transformation, scheduling, approvals and notifications) to improve timeliness, reduce manual effort and increase consistency of risk reporting and insight delivery
    • Supporting integration with existing platforms (reporting datasets, SharePoint/Teams and risk tooling) and contributing to user guidance and adoption (how-to guides, training snippets, support triage and continuous improvement)
    • Coordinating with Technology, Cyber, Risk, Data and Internal Audit stakeholders on analytics, automation and agent use-cases, definitions, thresholds and evidence expectations to improve consistency and reduce duplication
    • Continuously improving templates, automations and agent behaviours to increase consistency, timeliness and decision-usefulness; documenting lessons learned and maintaining a clear change log of updates
    • Supporting uplift tracking (e.g., PACT-aligned measures) by automating evidence collation and improving repeatability of reporting outputs
    • Operating as a hands-on specialist, demonstrating strong documentation and quality discipline so automations and agents are safe, repeatable and supportable

    What will you bring

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

    • Experience in automation, engineering delivery, analytics engineering, risk analytics or a similar role, with evidence of delivering workflow solutions used by business teams
    • Hands-on experience with prompt engineering and building AI-assisted workflows/agents using approved tooling (e.g., Microsoft Copilot ecosystem) including evaluation, guardrails and iteration based on user feedback
    • Strong data skills: ability to work with structured and semi-structured data, define data quality checks and build reliable refresh pipelines for recurring reporting (e.g., SQL and data wrangling)
    • Experience with workflow automation and integration tooling (e.g., Power Automate), scripting (Python preferred) and/or APIs, plus strong documentation and runbook discipline
    • Experience delivering solutions for Technology Risk, Cyber Risk, Operational Risk or governance/reporting teams within Financial Services
    • Working understanding of risk and control concepts (e.g., technology/cyber risk, operational risk, issues/incidents, control testing) and the ability to translate policy/standards into practical checks within an agent or workflow
    • Strong stakeholder engagement skills: ability to capture pain points, prototype solutions and deliver fit-for-purpose outcomes; comfortable taking guidance and escalating risks and blockers early
    • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (Computer Science, Data/Analytics, Engineering, Information Systems), or equivalent practical experience.

You're not expected to have 100% of these skills. At ANZ a growth mindset is at the heart of our culture, so if you have most of these things in your toolbox, we'd love to hear from you.
