Sr.Associate - General Ledger

The Sr.Accountant General Ledger is responsible for preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling financial statements and accounts, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This role plays a critical part in month-end/year-end closing, financial reporting, and compliance with accounting standards.

Role & responsibilities

• Reconciling financial statements.
• Preparing and managing general ledger entries.
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Reviewing cash deposits and preparing cash receipt journal entries.
• Interpreting and analyzing financial information.
• Recording monthly and annual processes.
• Posting journal entries in the accounting system.
• Tracking fixed asset ledger.
• Preparing balance sheet and profit and loss statement.
• Collaborating with various departments such as Sales, Legal and other departments.
• Reporting any fluctuations and variances.
• Assisting the team with accounting issues and queries.
• Working in compliance with government regulations.
• Adhering to accounting standards and regulations.
• Staying updated with the best practices in accounting.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
• Outstanding knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Ability to solve complex accounting problems and errors

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on General Ledger accounting.
• Proven experience in month-end close and financial reporting.
• Experience working in a shared services or corporate environment is preferred.
