About this role
RPG, RPGLE, CL, CLLE, SQL RPGLE, Aldon, and embedded SQL
Roles and Responsibilities:
Analyze, design, develop, and maintain iSeriesapplications software utilizing RPG, RPG ILE, RPG-FREE, and SQL languages.
Responsible for taking programming projectsthrough to completion according to project standards and user satisfaction.
Consistently apply appropriate enterprisemethodologies and standards for software development and execution.
Provide analytical and problem-solving expertiseto resolve business and systems issues.
Proactively identify and providesrecommendations on solutions for gaps in business processes and systems.
Support QA in the development of integrationtest plans, test conditions, and expected test results.
Act as a technical mentor to others and trainstaff as appropriate. Translate technical information to a non-technicalaudience.
Frequently interacts with vendors and serviceproviders regarding systems and business processes.
Keep pace with business trends, standards, andbest practices in area of expertise, contributing to continuous improvement forthe department and overall.
Produce excellent quality code, accurate projectestimations, creative solution options, and trade-off analysis.
Provide formal status reporting weekly.
Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience working in RPG Free,RPG, RPGLE, CL, CLLE, SQL RPGLE, Aldon, and embedded SQL.
Bachelors degree in information technology orrelated analytical field.
Minimum of 10 years’ Information Technologysoftware development experience as a programmer.
Minimal 8 years’ experience developing with RPGand the AS/400.
Experience in Healthcare domain knowledge is aplus.
Experience working within an environment with astructured Software Development Life Cycle including source control, QAprocesses and release management.
Demonstrated experience working with third-partyvendors.
Self- motivated, curious, creative, andpassionate about emerging technology.
Highly developed written, verbal, andpresentation communication skills that effectively articulate complex technicalconcepts to a diverse and, at times, non-technical audience at all levels inthe organization.
