About this role
We re looking for a Senior Applied AI Engineer to take our existing FastAPI agent platform and OpenAI stack from working prototypes to a production-grade, lawyer-trustworthy immigration AI system.
Position : Senior Applied AI Engineer
Level : Senior
Employment type : Full-time (Contractual)
Reports to : Founder CEO
Works with : VP of Technology, AI Specialist, Product, Design
Purpose : Take the existing FastAPI agent platform and OpenAI stack from working prototypes to a production-grade system.
Key Responsibilities:
The role owns the AI architecture end to end: how agents are orchestrated, how content packs drive them, how outputs are checked, and how customer data is protected.
Own the multi-agent architecture, orchestration, and operating procedures.
Own LLM engineering standards: model routing, structured outputs, grounding, cost and latency budgets.
Own the evaluation system: gold sets, test harness, regression, release criteria.
Own the AI security and privacy posture with the VP of Technology.
Design the versioned content-pack system and its authoring tools.
Make and document technical decisions; one named owner per task.
Review code and mentor the engineering team.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must meet every item below to be considered.
Software engineering experience : 8+ years
Production LLM or agent systems : 3+ years
Multi-agent systems shipped to production : At least 1, serving enterprise customers
Primary languages : Python (expert), TypeScript (working)
Data : PostgreSQL, SQL, schema and migration design
Cloud : AWS in production
Education : BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Written English : Clear technical specs and design documents
Preferred Technical Exposure:
- Next.js 16, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui
