Sql Server Database Administrator

The Senior Database Administrator designs and implements performance tuning and functionality enhancements for Broad Financial databases Provides 24x7 maintenance and support of all database platforms installs database environments to meet the needs of a fast growing and dynamic organization.

The Senior Database Administrator leads database discussions to identify enhancements to improve reliability and availability for customers. The core duties involve rapidly resolving system issues and bringing them to resolution with minimal impact to users while maintaining the companys daily operations.

Essential Job Functions:

• Provides support for all database environments and guides team members in system installation testing maintenance and documentation.
• Develops and modifies operational scripts to meet enterprise needs providing technical support for applications systems and operations teams Manages and ensures compliance with PCI FDIC SOX GLBA and internal administrative practices for ongoing audit processes.
• Troubleshoots issues for new database releases and upgrades including root cause analysis installation and retrofit delivery Performs tasks including planning installation testing and ongoing technical support.
• Ensures changes minimize risks and manages the Change Control process for databases Skills Knowledge Abilities Database Administration Vulnerability Management.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in managing distributed systems and participating in database management systems. Experience with performance tuning and optimization using monitoring tools and techniques Strong experience working with and maintaining backup and recovery strategies.
• Master Data Management MDM Concepts SQL TSQL Basics of Network Communications Operating Systems Windows Linux

Minimum Qualifications Bachelors Degree or equivalent education

• 6 years SQL Server database environment UNIXLINUX Operating Systems PostgreSQL Kafka Streaming Couchbase

Preferred Qualifications

• 9 years experience with relevant database management systems Examples include but are not limited to PostgreSQL Yellowbrick Couchbase Azure SQL CosmoDB SQL Server MongoDB Kafka Streaming AWS Cloud Concepts Certifications"
