SQL Server Administrator (4-6)

We are looking for an experienced SQL Server Administrator to manage enterprise SQL Server databases, ensure availability, performance, security, backup and recovery, and production support activities.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Install and configure SQL Server environments.
• Manage SQL Server databases in production environments.
• Perform backup, restore, and recovery operations.
• Implement database performance tuning and optimization.
• Monitor SQL Server health and availability.
• Manage user access, database security, and permissions.
• Execute database patching and upgrade activities.
• Support Always On Availability Groups and Replication.
• Perform database migration activities.
• Troubleshoot database incidents and outages.
• Conduct capacity planning and health checks.
• Participate in DR and business continuity activities.
• Provide 24x7 production support.

Preferred Candidate

• 4-6 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft SQL Server Administration.
• Strong experience in SQL Server Installation, Configuration, and Database Management.
• Hands-on experience in Database Backup, Restore, and Recovery activities.
• Good experience in SQL Performance Tuning and Query Optimization.
• Experience in managing Database Security, Users, Roles, and Permissions.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server Patching, Upgrades, and Migration Activities.
• Experience working with Always On Availability Groups, Replication, and Disaster Recovery solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Database Maintenance Plans, Health Checks, and Capacity Planning.
• Experience in troubleshooting production database issues and providing L2/L3 Production Support.
• Good understanding of SSIS, SSRS, and Azure SQL is preferred.
• Exposure to PowerShell scripting and automation is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced enterprise production environment.
• BE / BTech / MCA / MTech / MSc preferred.
