SQL Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced

SQL Server DBA to manage and support enterprise SQL Server environments across on-premises and Azure cloud platforms.

Experience: 8+ Years Location: Chennai

Shift : 3 PM - 12 AM Key Responsibilities .

• Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain SQL Server (2012+) environments.
• Manage Azure SQL databases, migrations, deployments, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize database performance, availability, and capacity.
• Administer AlwaysOn, Failover Clustering, Replication, TDE, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
• Automate routine DBA tasks using PowerShell and support change management processes.
• Manage incidents, service requests, and database deployments through ServiceNow.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and cloud teams to ensure high availability and operational excellence.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of SQL Server DBA experience.
• Strong expertise in SQL Server, T-SQL, Performance Tuning, Backup & Recovery, HA/DR.
• Hands-on experience with Azure SQL, AlwaysOn Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, and Replication.
• Experience with Windows and Linux environments.
• Knowledge of security and compliance standards (SOX, PCI, PII).
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

• PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB/NoSQL.
• Foglight administration and monitoring.
• Ansible, Puppet, Kubernetes, and ITIL exposure.
