SQF Furnace Operating Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Operate sealed quench furnaces to heat treat various materials, ensuring optimal temperature control and quality output.
  
• Monitor and adjust furnace parameters such as atmosphere, pressure, and cooling rates to achieve desired properties.
  
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on the furnace equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts.
  
• Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot issues and optimize production processes.
  
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations when working with high-temperature environments.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• 3-5 years of experience operating SQF furnaces or similar equipment in an industrial setting.
  
• Diploma holder in Mechanical Engineering or Tool & Die Making from a recognized institution.
  
• Strong understanding of heat treatment principles and practices; knowledge of metallurgy an asset.
  
• Proficiency in reading drawings, diagrams, and technical specifications.
