Job Description

This position is to take the manage supplier quality processes and performance, to minimize the supplier quality impact to India plants operations and field/customer quality performance.

About the Role

"Responsible for developing, evaluating and improving supplier base through supplier quality systems, process/product audits, corrective actions and continuous improvement. The role will work closely with suppliers to improve quality, reduce quality costs/warranty issues and improve supplier ratings.

Responsibilities

• PPAP (Production Parts Approval Process) for new part approval
• Supplier cost recovery to minimize loss. Coordinate supplier recovery process with procurement, holding the supply base accountable for their performance
• Key contributor in India regional PSL (Preferred Supplier List) review to ensure right categorization based on quality performance.
• Participating with Procurement team (regarding "Quality section" in terms of KPI target, Cost recovery rules) during the activities for Master Purchase Agreement (MPA) or Regional Quality Agreement.
• Document management & standardization
• Host External customer Audits, third party audits and ensure timely CAPA closure.
• Preparing MIS on supplier score card.
• Drive Supplier Quality improvement projects and activities
• Contributing to Global SQA platform as key member, to share good practices and participate in global initiative development and ensure regional execution.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree required
• Masters degree preferred
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification preferred
• ISO Lead Auditor certification preferred
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Quality management, and at least 4 years in Supplier Quality Management with proven track record of success,
• Good understanding of electronics component manufacturing process (Wire harnesses, Batteries, Sheetmetal etc...)
• Regional/National experience preferred
• Ability to utilize process/quality improvement tools and methods (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, 8D)
• Fluency with data-driven analysis and performance metrics
• Critical and creative problem-solving skills
• Good team player, good communication and influencing skill
• Excels in flexible work environment; alternative work location and variable time requirements
• Adequate knowledge for MS word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
• Good understanding of sheet metal manufacturing process (cabinets, Wire harness, mechanical assemblies)
• Understanding of engineering drawings
• Awareness about business process of ERP system (Oracle / SAP)
