    About this role

    About the Role

We are looking for an exceptional Speechwriter & Executive Communications Advisor to work closely with our Director as a trusted thought partner on speeches, public engagements, interviews, panels, and other high-visibility communication.

This is a specialized, high-trust role requiring an individual who can understand the Directors personality, perspectives, experiences, and communication style, and translate them into compelling, authentic, and impactful narratives.

The ideal candidate may come from journalism, editorial, media, consulting, public affairs, strategic communications, PR, or professional speechwriting, rather than necessarily following a conventional corporate communications career path.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Speechwriting & Content Development

    • Write speeches, keynote addresses, opening and closing remarks, event introductions, and event-specific talking points.
    • Develop compelling narratives, anecdotes, stories, examples, and key messages tailored to each occasion.
    • Translate complex ideas and business perspectives into clear, engaging, and memorable communication.
    • Develop different communication formats while maintaining consistency in the Directors voice and personality.

    2. Research & Preparation

    • Research audiences, event themes, industry developments, relevant issues, and key stakeholders ahead of engagements.
    • Develop briefing notes, background material, facts, statistics, examples, and relevant references.
    • Identify timely and meaningful insights that can strengthen the Directors communication.

    3. Executive & Public Speaking Support

    • Prepare the Director for panels, interviews, conferences, fireside chats, and other public-speaking engagements.
    • Develop anticipated questions, suggested responses, key messages, and supporting examples.
    • Conduct rehearsals and provide constructive feedback on content, structure, pacing, emphasis, and delivery.
    • Help continuously develop and refine the Directors overall public-speaking style.

    4. Executive Voice & Narrative Development

    • Develop a deep understanding of the Directors personality, experiences, perspectives, vocabulary, and communication preferences.
    • Ensure that speeches and communication feel authentic to the individual, rather than generic or overly scripted.
    • Build recurring themes, stories, perspectives, and signature messages that can become part of the Directors broader public narrative.

    5. Knowledge & Content Management

    • Maintain a structured library of speeches, stories, anecdotes, statistics, research, quotes, examples, and reference material.
    • Build and continuously update a repository of relevant business, industry, social, cultural, and leadership insights.
    • Maintain version control and ensure important communication assets are readily accessible for future engagements.

    6. Cross-functional Collaboration

    • Coordinate closely with all Monarch group companies and JITO(Jain International Trade Organization) to obtain relevant information, data, business insights, examples, and inputs.
    • Work with internal stakeholders to understand the context and objectives of each engagement.
    • Exercise sound judgment regarding information sensitivity, confidentiality, and internal approvals.

    Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who combines exceptional writing ability with strong judgment, curiosity, and executive presence.

    Ideal background:

    • Post graduate with 510 years industry experience in Speech writing and external communications
    • Experience working directly with CEOs, promoters, founders, public figures, institutional leaders, or senior executives will be highly valued.
    • Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and research skills.
    • Ability to quickly understand a subject and identify the most compelling story or message within it.
    • Strong ability to capture and reproduce an individual's personality, tone, voice, and communication style.
    • Ability to work with incomplete information, tight timelines, and changing requirements.
    • High degree of discretion and confidentiality.

    What We Are Looking For

We would particularly welcome candidates from backgrounds such as:

    • Journalists / Senior Journalists with strong long-form writing and interviewing experience
    • Editors / Editorial Writers who have developed a strong sense of narrative and voice
    • Speechwriters with experience supporting senior executives or public figures
    • Management Consultants with exceptional communication and storytelling skills
    • Strategic Communications / PR professionals who have handled senior leadership communication
    • Media professionals / Anchors / Interviewers with strong research and content capabilities
    • Authors / Long-form writers / Columnists with relevant professional experience
    • Content strategists and narrative specialists with experience working directly with senior leaders

    Personal Attributes

    The successful candidate should be:

Discreet comfortable handling confidential information and sensitive conversations.

Intellectually curious naturally interested in business, people, society, culture, current affairs, and emerging ideas.

A strong listener able to understand not just what the Director wants to say, but why he wants to say it.

Adaptable — able to write in the Director’s voice rather than imposing their own.

Confident yet low-ego — comfortable challenging, questioning, and advising a senior leader while understanding that the final voice must remain his.

Highly organized — capable of managing multiple engagements, deadlines, research materials, drafts, and stakeholders simultaneously.

    Why This Role Is Different

This is an opportunity to work one-on-one with a senior leader and play a meaningful role in shaping his public communication and narrative.

The successful candidate will not simply be writing speeches. They will become a trusted partner in helping the Director think through ideas, sharpen messages, tell stories, prepare for important conversations, and continuously evolve his public-speaking style.
