In this vital role,you willbe responsible forleading, architecting, designing, and implementing SAP S/4HANA solutions with a focus onend-to-endRecord to Report (RTR) processes and capabilities. As aSpecialistSAP Architect within our global Digital, Technology, and Innovation (DTI) team, this role will help guide the transition from our worldwide ERP instance on SAP ECC to the S/4HANA Intelligent Enterprise, along with the successful migration of the other RTR integrated systems.This position requires deepexpertisein SAPS/4 HANARecord to Reportwithagoodunderstanding ofcross functionalintegration withSAP othermodules.Are you an SAP analyst with deep technical experience in Record to Report processesCome join a team that is passionate about innovation and making life better with technology!

Roles Responsibilities:

• Design and configure the SAP S/4 HANA core to meet business requirements and implement criticalAccountingcapabilities.

• Ensures solutions developed are aligned to enterprise architecture standards,guidelinesand principles byleveragecommon technology platforms and services.

• Ensuresseamless integration between SAP Advanced Intercompany (AIC) and other SAP modules (FI, MM, OTC, PP, TM, ATTP, GTS, EAS, Vistex and EWM) as well as third-party systems.

• Participate in ERP implementation projects as part of the physical financial product team, including blueprinting, gap analysis, testing, go-live, and post-production support.Provide mentoring to team members.

• Creation and maintenance of critical documentation such as technical assessments, configuration specs, functional designs, test cases, and user manuals.Ensurescompliance with pharmaceutical industry standards and regulations.

• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to deliver and sustain Amgen's S/4HANA ecosystemutilizingthe Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

• Develop innovative solutions that drive speed to value via AI/ML and leading practices.

• Ability to translate business requirements into design options that are cost effective, efficient, re-usable that align with defined architectural principles and standards.

Basic Qualifications and Experience:

• Doctorate degree OR

• Masters degree in computer science or STEM majors and 4 to 6 years of SAPimplementationexperience in SAP S/4SDOR

• Bachelors degree in computer science or STEM majors and 6 to 8years of SAPimplementation experience in SAP S/4SDOR

• Diploma in computer science or STEM majors and 10 to 12 years of IT oryears of SAPimplementation experience in SAP S/4SD

Functional Skills:

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in configuring and integrating all aspects of SAP S/4 Finance solution for global deployments; focus on SAP Finance (General Ledger accounting, SD MM Account Determination, Indirect Tax, Intercompany Intracompany) and Controlling modules (Product Costing, Cost Object Controlling, Material Ledger, Actual Costing, Transfer Pricing, Valuation Approach).
  

• Strong experience in SAP Tax configuration and integration, including Indirect Tax (VAT, GST, Sales Use Tax), tax determination, tax reporting, withholding tax, and integration with third-party tax engines (e.g., Vertex, Avalara, Sovos) to ensure compliance with global tax regulations.

• Understand manufacturing processes with Inventory Cost Accounting and intercompany transfer pricing.Experience with S/4HANA Advance intercompany STO and Sales process.

• Demonstrated understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS); ability to clearly communicate key accounting concepts.

• Collaborate with integrated agile product teams to ensure seamless integration between SAP Finance and other SAP modules (e.g.SD,MM, PP, Tax) and external systems.Perform mentoring to team members.

• Ability to design and implement solutions based on business requirements, includingdebugging and root cause analysis.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Proficiencyin S/4 General Ledger,Blackline, Financial Reporting Tools, Fiori Apps.

• Good understanding ofCross functional interdependencies,S/4 Physical Financialflowand S/4 Advance Intercompany.

• Experience working in an agile environment and familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

• KnowledgeinMaster Data Governancetool(MDG).

Professional Certifications:

• SAP Certified Application Associate in SAPS/4 Hana Financial Accounting OR Management Accounting OR both.

• Agile Certified Practitioner (preferred)
