Summary:

UST is looking for Senior Software Engineer with Architecture experience to design, develop, and modernize cloud-native applications on AWS. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in full-stack development, cloud architecture, event-driven systems, and application modernization, with the ability to lead technical decisions and mentor teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, API-first, cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Lead architecture discussions and drive technical best practices.
• Develop and support applications using React, Node.js, C#, and Python.
• Modernize legacy applications and migrate features from on-prem to cloud platforms.
• Implement event-driven architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Mentor developers and contribute to technical strategy and innovation.

Required Skills

• 10-15+ years of software development experience.
• Strong AWS expertise (Serverless, Containers, Event-Driven Architecture).
• Hands-on experience with Node.js, React, C#, SQL, Oracle/Postgres, and Terraform.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, architecture principles, and cloud deployment methodologies.
• Experience building scalable APIs and distributed systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

• Python, Snowflake, Power BI
• Jenkins, Groovy, Shell Scripting
• Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• AI-assisted coding tools
• Insurance/Reinsurance domain experience
• AWS or Architecture certifications
