Spanish Interpreter

Job Title: Spanish Translator / Medical Interpreter (On-Call)

Job Summary

We are seeking a fluent Spanish Translator/Medical Interpreter to support patient

communication by providing real-time interpretation between patients, healthcare

providers, and support agents. The role involves translating conversationos accurately and

professionally during live calls to ensure clear understanding and high-quality patient

service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide real-time telephonic interpretation between:
• Patient and Customer Support Agent
• Healthcare Provider and Patient
• Agent and Provider (if required)
• Accurately translate medical and non-medical conversations from English to Spanish and Spanish to English.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Ensure tone, intent, and meaning are conveyed accurately without omission or addition.
• Assist in clarifying medical instructions, appointment details, billing inquiries, and general patient concerns.
• Remain neutral and professional during sensitive healthcare discussions.
• Document call details if required as per process guidelines.
• Be available on-call during assigned shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
• Proven experience as a Medical Interpreter, Spanish Translator, or similar role preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology (preferred).
• Strong listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Comfortable working in a healthcare or BPO environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in US Healthcare or call center environment.
• Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines.
