Role Description The Space AIT (Assembly, Integration, and Testing) Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The engineer will be responsible for assembling, integrating, and testing satellite communication payloads, subsystems, and associated hardware according to engineering specifications and quality standards. Daily tasks include preparing and executing test procedures, configuring test setups, analyzing test data, and documenting results to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with mission requirements. The role involves close collaboration with design, systems, RF, and software engineering teams to resolve integration issues, support troubleshooting, and implement design improvements. The engineer will also contribute to test planning, participate in reviews, manage test equipment and facilities, and support environmental and qualification testing for space-bound systems.
Qualifications
- Strong background in Assembly, Integration, and Testing of space or aerospace hardware, including hands-on experience with RF, digital, and mixed-signal subsystems.
- Knowledge of satellite communication systems, payload architectures, and space environment considerations (thermal, vibration, radiation).
- Experience with test instrumentation and tools such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, and automated test setups.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with test procedure development, test documentation, data analysis, and reporting using appropriate software tools.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Ability to work systematically in cleanroom or lab environments, following safety and quality protocols and industry standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for documentation, test reports, and technical discussions.
