Job Summary

NIIT is looking for a skilled Senior Sourcing Specialist to manage global sourcing of training services, supplier relationships, commercial negotiations, and end-to-end procurement activities. The ideal candidate should have experience in service sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiations, cost optimization, and working with international suppliers across different regions and time zones.

Experience in the corporate training, learning services, or education industry will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customer requests and identify suitable training suppliers across global markets, including Europe, the USA, and APAC.
• Handle the complete sourcing and procurement lifecycle, including supplier identification, evaluation, negotiations, contracting, delivery, and quality management.
• Drive cost savings, cost optimization, and supplier rationalization initiatives.
• Source training partners for face-to-face, virtual, and e-learning programs based on customer requirements.
• Manage RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes, conduct market research, and perform supplier benchmarking.
• Negotiate commercial proposals to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Prepare bid summaries and maintain accurate documentation of customer requests using relevant CRM and sourcing tools.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and monitor their performance against agreed service levels.
• Coordinate with internal Finance, Legal, Vendor Management, and other cross-functional teams for purchase orders and contract execution.
• Manage end-to-end training coordination, including scheduling, venue and training room bookings, learner registration, and trainer coordination.
• Maintain training records, attendance, and learner feedback in Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Conduct supplier governance reviews and ensure timely delivery and quality of services.
• Provide suitable sourcing recommendations based on customer needs, market availability, and commercial considerations.
• Manage work queues and coordinate with global stakeholders across different time zones.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience in strategic sourcing, service procurement, purchasing, commercial management, or supplier management.
• Strong commercial negotiation, cost-saving, and cost-optimization skills.
• Experience managing international suppliers and assessing supplier quality and performance.
• Knowledge of RFI, RFP, RFQ, e-sourcing, contract management, and supplier evaluation processes.
• Proven ability to build supplier relationships while improving cost efficiency and service quality.
• Strong analytical, market research, and benchmarking skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet agreed timelines.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with CRM and sourcing tools.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with training providers, corporate learning services, Learning & Development (L&D), or the education and training industry.
• Exposure to global sourcing and training delivery across face-to-face, virtual, and e-learning formats.
• Familiarity with procurement platforms such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, or similar sourcing tools.

Education

Graduate or postgraduate qualification in any relevant discipline. MBA or B.Tech preferred.
