Sourcing Executive

Role & responsibilities

Identify and source products as per customer requirements, design briefs, and budgets.

• Visit markets, exhibitions, and vendor locations to explore new products, materials, and trends.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to ensure best value.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new vendors.
• Evaluate product quality, cost, and reliability of suppliers to ensure consistent standards.
• Work closely with design, merchandising, and buying teams to align sourcing with business needs.
• Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and price fluctuations to make informed decisions.
• Manage the end-to-end sourcing process from vendor identification to order placement and delivery follow-up.
• Ensure timely procurement and adherence to quality and cost parameters.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience in sourcing, buying, or procurement, preferably in home dcor, lifestyle, fashion, or consumer goods.

• Strong vendor network and understanding of local and regional markets.

• Excellent negotiation, costing, and communication skills.

• Ability to multitask and manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously.

• Hands-on approach with willingness to travel to markets and vendor sites regularly.

• Graduate in any discipline; MBA or equivalent in Supply Chain/Procurement preferred.
