About this role
About Mindlabs Mindlabs builds technology products at the intersection of hardware, firmware, cloud software, and real-world operations. Our products solve practical business problems in industrial and operational environments, requiring thoughtful integration across technology, processes, and people. We are a small, highly technical team where individuals have significant ownership and impact. We value curiosity, first-principles thinking, pragmatism, and a strong bias toward action.
About the Role We are looking for a Solutions & Product Lead — someone who owns customer problems end-to-end and shapes what becomes platform product. This role sits at the intersection of customers, business, operations, and engineering. You will work directly with company leadership to understand customer requirements, identify business problems, evaluate tradeoffs, propose solutions, coordinate execution across teams, and ensure that the work delivered creates meaningful business value. This is not a traditional Product Manager role and it is not a project management role. You will handle ambiguity, make recommendations, challenge assumptions, and drive outcomes. The ideal candidate is comfortable discussing customer workflows in the morning, evaluating product strategy in the afternoon, and reviewing technical implementation approaches with engineers in the evening.
What You Will Do Customer Requirements & Solution Design • Meet customers and understand their operational and business challenges. • Distinguish between what customers ask for and the actual problem they are trying to solve. • Translate customer needs into scalable product capabilities. • Decide when a requirement should become a product feature versus a customer-specific customization. • Propose solutions that balance customer value, engineering effort, scalability, and business impact. • Participate in customer discussions and help guide technical and product decisions. Product & Business Systems • Analyze cross-functional business problems spanning multiple departments.• Design and improve business processes across product lifecycle, manufacturing, deployment, support, operations, and customer success. • Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and recurring operational issues. • Drive initiatives that improve business outcomes, reduce costs, increase scalability, or improve customer experience. • Build scalable systems and processes that help the company grow without increasing complexity. Product Strategy & Prioritization • Evaluate new product opportunities, customer requests, and strategic initiatives. • Help determine what should be built, why it should be built, and how it fits into the broader product vision. • Balance short-term customer needs with long-term platform and business goals. • Contribute to product roadmap discussions and strategic planning. Technical Collaboration • Work closely with firmware, software, hardware, design, and operations teams. • Evaluate implementation approaches and tradeoffs. • Participate in architecture and solution discussions. • Coordinate execution across multiple teams. • Ensure that solutions remain aligned with long-term product and business goals. Decision Making & Execution • Gather information from stakeholders across the organization. • Evaluate alternatives and present recommendations with supporting rationale. • Drive decisions forward rather than escalating every issue. • Take ownership of outcomes and follow through until problems are resolved. • Create clarity in situations where requirements, priorities, or constraints are not immediately obvious.
What Success Looks Like In your first 6–12 months, you will: • Become a trusted owner of customer requirements from discovery through execution. • Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning engineering, operations, and customer-facing teams. • Develop a deep understanding of our products, customers, and business workflows. • Drive decisions on feature prioritization, customizations, and solution design. • Identify and solve operational and product bottlenecks that impact customers or business performance. • Build frameworks and processes that help the company scale more effectively.• Influence product direction through a combination of customer insight, business reasoning, and technical understanding. • Earn increasing autonomy in making decisions and driving strategic initiatives.
Who You Are • A strong problem solver who enjoys tackling ambiguous challenges. • Naturally curious and driven to understand how systems work end-to-end. • Comfortable communicating with customers, business stakeholders, and engineers. • Able to balance technical constraints, customer needs, and business objectives. • Someone who takes ownership rather than waiting for detailed instructions. • Comfortable making recommendations and defending your reasoning. • Excited by the idea of building systems, processes, and products from first principles.
Preferred Experience We care far more about how you think and operate than the exact number of years you have worked. Candidates typically have 3–10+ years of relevant experience, but exceptional candidates outside this range are encouraged to apply. You may come from backgrounds such as: • Solutions Architecture or Technical Consulting • Technical Product Management • Startup Operations or Founder Experience • Systems or Program Engineering You should have demonstrated experience in: • Working directly with customers and translating requirements into practical solutions. • Solving ambiguous and open-ended business or product problems. • Leading cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders. • Balancing technical, business, and operational considerations when making decisions. • Taking ownership of outcomes and driving execution. Experience in one or more of the following is a plus: • IoT or industrial technology • SaaS platforms or enterprise software • Manufacturing, supply chain, or logistics • Technical consulting or systems engineering
What We Are Not Looking For We are not looking for status-report coordinators, ticket managers, or process-heavy project managers. We are not looking for people who require detailed instructions for every task, or individuals who focus only on execution without understanding business outcomes. You will be expected to independently investigate problems, formulate recommendations, and drive meaningful improvements across the organization.
Growth Opportunity This role offers significant growth potential. The right candidate will gradually take ownership of increasingly broad product, operational, and strategic decisions as the company scales. As Mindlabs grows, successful candidates will have the opportunity to evolve into broader leadership roles with significant influence over product direction, business systems, operations, and organizational strategy. We are looking for someone who wants to become a key decision-maker within the organization and help shape the future of Mindlabs.
