Overview:

The Platform Analyst will be responsible for configuring, managing, and optimizing Esri-based GIS platforms with a focus on ArcFM. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to ensure the platform meets business requirements, configuring ArcFM tools, and supporting GIS workflows in the utility's domain (Gas, Electric, Water, Telecom).

The Platform Engineer will be responsible for configuring, managing, and optimizing Esri-based GIS platforms to support utility business operations. This role focuses on delivering scalable GIS solutions, supporting enterprise integrations, and enabling efficient workflows across Gas, Electric, Water, and Telecom domains.

While familiarity with ArcFM is expected, the primary emphasis is on core Esri technologies and overall GIS platform capability.

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage Esri GIS platforms, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and Web GIS environments
• Design, implement, and optimize GIS workflows, data models, and applications aligned with business requirements
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable GIS configurations and solutions
• Support utility network / geometric network implementations and data management
• Collaborate on integrations between GIS platforms and enterprise systems such as asset management and CRM platforms
• Troubleshoot issues related to GIS configurations, workflows, performance, and data integrity
• Develop and maintain documentation, standards, and best practices for GIS platform usage
• Stay up to date with advancements in Esri technologies and the broader GIS ecosystem and recommend improvements
• Provide training and support to end users on GIS tools, workflows, and applications
• Work with ArcFM-based environments where applicable, supporting configurations and workflows as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 3-6 years of experience in GIS platform management and implementation
• Strong expertise in Esri technologies, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and web-based GIS solutions
• Experience with utility domain workflows (Gas, Electric, Water, Telecom)
• Understanding of utility network and/or geometric network models
• Working knowledge of ArcFM (configuration, workflows, and data models)
• Proficiency in Python scripting (ArcPy) for automation and customization
• Experience with data integration and transformation tools (e.g., FME) is an added advantage
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional engagement

This is an ArcFM platform configuration and administration role focused on managing utility GIS workflows inside enterprise Esri systems. The person mainly configures ArcFM, maintains utility data models, and supports GIS platform operations.
