Solution Architect – DevOps & Infrastructure 

Job Summary 

We are looking for a hands-on Solution Architect with strong experience in DevOps, infrastructure, networking, security, and application support. 

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across development, infrastructure, security, and operations teams to build and maintain reliable, secure, and scalable environments. 

This role requires experience with GitHub Actions, Windows/Linux administration, networking, SSO integrations, databases, and containerized applications. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Manage and support GitHub repositories and GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines

• Design, implement, and troubleshoot GitHub Actions workflows for build, deployment, and automation

• Install, configure, and maintain services on Windows and Linux systems

• Configure and troubleshoot networking between applications and services including ports, routing, DNS, and certificates

• Assist in defining and validating firewall access rules for application-to-application and user access

• Support Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations including setup and troubleshooting with Okta

• Provide basic administration and troubleshooting support for PostgreSQL and SQL Server databases

• Collaborate with application, security, networking, and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable and secure environments

• Document configurations, procedures, standards, and technical processes

• Own new user onboarding, access provisioning, and environment configuration activities

• Manage and support Podman or Docker-based containerized development applications

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across infrastructure, applications, networking, and security domains

Required Skills and Experience 

1. 5 to 7 years of overall IT experience

• Strong working knowledge of GitHub and GitHub Actions

• Experience with CI/CD pipeline implementation and troubleshooting

• Experience installing and configuring application services on Windows and Linux systems

• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, ports, DNS, firewalls, routing, SSL, and certificates

• Experience assisting with or defining firewall rules in enterprise environments

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL Server

• Experience setting up or supporting SSO using Okta

• Experience with Docker, Podman, or containerized environments

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and collaborate across multiple technical teams

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills 

• Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform

• Experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, LDAP, or IAM tools

• Scripting experience using PowerShell, Bash, or Python

• Exposure to Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms

• Familiarity with enterprise security and compliance standards

• Experience supporting enterprise applications in production environments
