Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Architect - GRC/IRM Solutions to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) and Integrated Risk Management (IRM) solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in ServiceNow architecture, IRM/GRC modules, enterprise integrations, risk frameworks, and digital transformation initiatives.

This role will provide strategic technical leadership, establish platform standards, and deliver scalable, secure, and business-aligned solutions that support enterprise governance, risk, compliance, audit, and resilience objectives. The architect will work closely with business stakeholders, security teams, compliance leaders, and executive management to drive enterprise-wide risk transformation initiatives. ,

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Strategy

• Define and maintain the ServiceNow IRM/GRC architecture roadmap aligned with organizational risk and compliance objectives.
• Lead end-to-end solution architecture and design for enterprise ServiceNow IRM implementations.
• Establish platform governance, design standards, best practices, and development frameworks.
• Evaluate business requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and sustainable ServiceNow solutions.
• Provide architectural guidance for platform upgrades, releases, enhancements, and transformation initiatives.
• Partner with executive stakeholders to align technology capabilities with business risk management strategies.
• Drive platform optimization, modernization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

ServiceNow GRC / IRM Architecture

Architect and implement enterprise solutions across:

• Integrated Risk Management (IRM)
• Risk Management
• Policy & Compliance Management
• Audit Management
• Vendor Risk Management (VRM)
• Business Continuity Management (BCM)
• Operational Resilience

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing enterprise-wide risk, control, audit, and compliance frameworks within ServiceNow.
• Building scalable governance models supporting multiple business units and regulatory requirements.
• Developing architectures for risk scoring, control testing, issue remediation, exception management, and continuous monitoring.
• Designing risk assessment methodologies, questionnaires, workflows, and approval processes.
• Establishing integrated risk visibility through dashboards, reporting, and executive scorecards.
• Implementing role-based access controls, data segregation, and governance standards across IRM solutions. ,

Technical Leadership

• Lead architecture reviews, design workshops, and solution governance boards.
• Provide technical leadership to developers, administrators, business analysts, and implementation teams.
• Review solution designs, customizations, integrations, and development deliverables.
• Mentor teams on ServiceNow architecture principles, platform capabilities, and development best practices.
• Ensure adherence to ServiceNow recommended architecture and implementation standards.

Integration & Platform Architecture

• Architect integrations with enterprise applications, security platforms, GRC tools, and third-party risk solutions.
• Design and oversee integrations using REST APIs, SOAP, IntegrationHub, MID Server, and Event Management frameworks.
• Enable data synchronization across compliance, audit, security, vendor management, and operational systems.
• Ensure secure and scalable integration architectures aligned with enterprise standards. ,

Governance, Security & Compliance

• Establish architecture standards for security, auditability, compliance, and platform governance.

• Ensure solutions align with regulatory frameworks and industry standards such as:

  • ISO 27001
  • NIST
  • SOC 2
  • GDPR
  • HIPAA
  • PCI-DSS

• Define data governance and security controls across risk and compliance processes.

• Support internal and external audit programs through platform design and control automation. ,

Operational Excellence

• Drive platform health, scalability, performance, maintainability, and upgrade readiness.
• Conduct solution assessments and recommend improvements based on evolving business needs.
• Evaluate emerging ServiceNow IRM capabilities and roadmap opportunities.
• Enable automation and process optimization across governance, risk, compliance, and resilience functions.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 10+ years of overall IT experience.
• 7+ years of ServiceNow platform experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing ServiceNow IRM/GRC solutions.
• Proven experience leading enterprise-scale ServiceNow architecture initiatives.
• Experience working with global stakeholders in regulated environments.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Masters degree preferred.
