Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineer with strong hands-on experience in SOLIDWORKS CAD modeling and assembly management, along with practical exposure to creating technical animations, work instructions, and assembly/service manuals using SOLIDWORKS Composer.

The engineer will work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Product Engineering teams to develop CAD models, assembly structures, manufacturing documentation, animated work instructions, service procedures, and visual technical communication content.

This role requires a combination of mechanical engineering knowledge, CAD expertise, and technical visualization skills.

Key Responsibilities

SOLIDWORKS CAD Activities

• Create and modify 3D part and assembly models using SOLIDWORKS.
• Perform CAD data clean-up and model sanitization.
• Update Engineering BOMs (EBOM).
• Manage large assemblies and configurations.
• Create production-ready 2D manufacturing drawings.
• Support design changes and engineering revisions.
• Ensure adherence to CAD standards and modeling best practices.

SOLIDWORKS Composer Activities

• Import and manage SOLIDWORKS assemblies in Composer.
• Create exploded assembly views.
• Develop animated assembly and disassembly sequences.
• Create manufacturing work instructions.
• Generate service and maintenance procedures.
• Produce technical illustrations and documentation.
• Create visual SOPs for shop floor operations.
• Generate interactive PDFs and HTML outputs.
• Export high-quality MP4/AVI training videos.

Documentation Activities

• Create:
• Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Work Instructions (WI)
• Process Documentation
• Assembly Manuals
• Service Manuals
• Training Content
• Develop structured Bills of Materials and parts catalogs.

Collaboration Activities

• Work with Manufacturing Engineers and Industrial Engineers.
• Support prototype and production build activities.
• Participate in engineering reviews.
• Coordinate with customer stakeholders for content validation.
