Solar Sales Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Generate and convert residential solar leads through calls, references, and field activities.
• Conduct customer meetings and site visits to understand requirements and assess feasibility.
• Explain rooftop solar solutions, government subsidies, savings, and ROI to customers.
• Prepare and present techno-commercial proposals and quotations.
• Follow up with prospects and ensure timely sales closure.
• Coordinate with internal teams for documentation, approvals, and project execution.
• Assist with agreement signing and advance payment collection.
• Maintain daily sales reports and update CRM regularly.
• Achieve assigned monthly and quarterly kW-based sales targets.

Preferred candidate profile

• 13 years of experience in B2C sales; solar or real estate experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and customer-handling skills.
• Experience in lead generation, client acquisition, and sales conversion.
• Basic understanding of solar products such as panels, inverters, and batteries, or willingness to learn.
• Ability to explain technical and financial concepts clearly to customers.
• Target-oriented and self-motivated with a strong sales mindset.
• Comfortable with local field travel and customer visits.
• Bachelors degree in any discipline is preferred.
• Two-wheeler and smartphone are preferred.
