About this role
- Identify and evaluate solar/EPC tender opportunities across India and international markets, with a focus on relevant emerging-market opportunities.
- Lead end-to-end tender management from opportunity identification, bid qualification and strategy through final submission.
- Coordinate with technical, commercial, procurement, project and business development teams to prepare technically compliant and commercially competitive bids.
- Develop and review bid strategies based on market conditions, customer requirements, competitor positioning and prevailing price levels.
- Drive pricing strategy and prepare detailed price schedules, commercial summaries and bid recommendations for Senior Management review and approval.
- Ensure accurate, complete and timely submission of tenders, including all technical, commercial and contractual requirements.
- Review tender documents, BOQs, specifications, eligibility criteria, scope of work, commercial conditions and contractual requirements.
- Identify commercial/contractual risks, deviations and assumptions and coordinate with stakeholders for appropriate mitigation.
- Build and maintain tender databases, opportunity trackers, pricing benchmarks and market intelligence.
- Develop MIS, SOPs, dashboards and standardized processes to improve tendering efficiency and governance.
- Support business development initiatives, strategic partnerships/JVs and customer discussions where required.
- Mentor and guide tendering team members and ensure strong coordination, follow-up and adherence to timelines.
- Represent the tendering function in internal reviews and support negotiations and post-bid clarifications when required.
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings, project sites, business opportunities and tender-related requirements.
