Job Description
About the Role:
- We are looking for a Software Tester / QA Engineer with 3+ years of experience to ensure the quality, reliability, performance, and security of our web and mobile applications.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and execute comprehensive test scenarios and test strategies throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and end-to-end testing across applications.
- Validate applications across multiple browsers, devices, operating systems, and environments to ensure consistent quality.
- Design, develop, and maintain reliable automated test suites to improve test coverage and efficiency.
- Perform API, performance, load, stress, and security testing based on application requirements.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test scenarios, test data, and testing documentation.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects and issues through resolution while ensuring proper validation.
- Analyze application logs, API responses, database results, and error traces to support effective root-cause analysis.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and contribute to continuous testing and delivery practices.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum activities, including sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and defect-triage sessions.
- Leverage AI-assisted testing tools to generate test scenarios, identify edge cases, analyze failures, and automate repetitive QA activities.
- Review and validate AI-generated test cases, automation scripts, and test results for accuracy, reliability, and relevance.
- Support quality assurance for AI/ML features, chatbots, LLM applications, and AI-powered products where applicable.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve test coverage, automation reliability, testing efficiency, and overall QA processes.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Playwright using JavaScript/TypeScript for web automation testing.
- Experience with Appium for mobile application automation and cross-platform testing.
- Proficiency in Postman and REST Assured for REST API testing and validation.
- Knowledge of JMeter for performance, load, and stress testing.
- Familiarity with OWASP ZAP and Burp Suite for application security testing.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing workflows.
- Working knowledge of JIRA and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong understanding of SQL, database validation, and data integrity testing.
- Good knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP methods, authentication, and API validation.
- Exposure to Docker and cloud-based testing environments.
- Experience with visual regression testing and cross-browser validation.
- Understanding of test automation framework design, architecture, and maintainability.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted testing and software development productivity tools.
- Exposure to testing AI/ML applications, chatbots, LLM-based applications, and AI APIs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience in web and mobile application testing across different platforms and environments.
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites and testing frameworks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to work effectively within an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong commitment to software quality, reliability, test coverage, and continuous improvement.
- Willingness to adopt and learn modern QA technologies, automation frameworks, and AI-assisted testing practices.
