Responsibilities:
Test Planning & Execution
- Understand project requirements and functional specifications
- Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
- Execute manual test cases to identify defects and ensure product quality
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing
Defect Management
- Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar
- Work closely with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes
- Retest resolved defects to ensure proper functionality
Quality Assurance Processes
- Ensure applications meet quality standards and business requirements
- Follow QA methodologies, standards, and best practices
- Participate in reviews of requirements and design documents
User Experience & Usability
- Perform usability and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Provide feedback to improve application performance and user experience
Collaboration & Reporting
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for issue resolution
- Report test progress, defect status, and quality metrics
- Communicate risks and quality concerns to stakeholders
