Software Test Engineer

Role Description The Software Test Engineer is a full-time, remote role responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of RiVirtual’s real estate and FinTech/PropTech platforms. The role involves designing, documenting, and executing test cases, performing functional, regression, and integration testing, and validating new features before release. The Software Test Engineer will collaborate closely with software developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, identify defects, and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes. Daily activities include analyzing user stories, preparing test data, tracking and reporting defects, supporting automation efforts, and participating in agile ceremonies such as stand-ups and sprint reviews.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Software Testing, including knowledge of testing methodologies and QA best practices.
• Candidates should possess skills in Test Execution and Test Cases, including test design, test documentation, and systematic test execution.
• Candidates should possess skills in Testing within a Software Development environment, including familiarity with SDLC, agile practices, and collaboration with development teams.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, or similar) is beneficial.
• Exposure to test automation frameworks and scripting (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with attention to detail and a focus on quality.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage priorities, and meet project deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience testing web applications, APIs, or data-driven platforms; familiarity with real estate or FinTech/PropTech domains is a plus.
