Role Overview: We are seeking a Software Test Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and at least 5 years of experience in QA engineering/manual testing, focusing on mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in testing Bluetooth functionality and firmware within mobile applications, and familiarity with IoT devices. Technical skills required include a strong understanding of Bluetooth standards, manual testing methodologies, firmware testing, and proficiency in tools such as Jira, TestRail, and Quality Center. Experience with automation tools like Appium and Selenium, and knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting are also essential. Preferred qualifications include experience in Agile and CI/CD processes, and QA-related certifications.

Key Responsibilities: • Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for mobile applications with Bluetooth integration and firmware components. • Perform manual and automated testing to ensure application quality across various devices, operating systems, and hardware configurations. • Conduct functional, regression, integration, performance, compatibility, and system-level testing. • Execute Bluetooth protocol testing, including device pairing, communication, data transmission, and connectivity validation. • Test Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) functionality, range, interoperability, and compliance with Bluetooth SIG standards. • Validate Bluetooth functionality across multiple devices, OS versions, and hardware environments. • Validate firmware updates for Bluetooth-enabled devices to ensure expected functionality and compatibility with mobile applications. • Collaborate with firmware development teams to assess changes and identify potential impacts on application performance. • Conduct regression testing following firmware updates to verify stability and reliability. • Identify, document, track, and report defects using tools such as Jira, TestRail, or Quality Center. • Collaborate with development teams to investigate, reproduce, and resolve issues. • Provide detailed defect reports with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence. • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for Bluetooth and firmware-related features. • Utilize automation frameworks and continuous integration tools to improve testing efficiency. • Support test environment setup and maintenance for accurate and repeatable test execution. • Perform API testing in mobile environments. • Validate application behavior under varying network conditions, device limitations, and data-handling scenarios. • Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, firmware engineers, product managers, and designers. • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. • Provide clear and concise updates on testing progress, risks, issues, and results to stakeholders. • Serve as a key liaison between QA and other departments. • Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation. • Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and quality standards. • Provide feedback on product design and user experience based on testing results and customer use cases.
