About this role
Manual and automation testing across the full SDLC, working directly with global clients, product owners and development teams. For someone who believes quality is everyone's responsibility and drives defect prevention rather than defect discovery.
What you'll do
- Understand business requirements and prepare comprehensive test plans, test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, system, UAT, API, database, smoke, sanity and end-to-end testing.
- Develop, maintain and execute automated test scripts.
- Validate REST APIs and backend data using SQL and MongoDB.
- Participate in sprint planning, grooming, daily stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, architects and DevOps teams.
- Identify, document, prioritise and track defects until closure.
- Perform root cause analysis and recommend preventive quality measures.
- Participate confidently in customer meetings, requirement discussions, demonstrations and release reviews.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the SDLC.
- Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and automation coverage.
Manual testing
- Functional, regression, integration and system testing.
- User acceptance testing (UAT).
- API testing and database testing.
- Mobile and web application testing.
- Defect lifecycle management.
Automation testing (mandatory)
- Experience in one or more of: Selenium WebDriver, Playwright or Cypress.
- TestNG or NUnit.
- Cucumber (BDD).
API & database
- Postman and REST API testing.
- SQL Server and MongoDB.
- MySQL preferred.
Tools
- Azure DevOps and Jira.
- Git.
- CI/CD pipelines.
Technology exposure
- Working knowledge of applications built on Microsoft technologies (.NET).
- React or Angular.
- HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure and AWS.
Soft skills (mandatory)
- Excellent verbal and written English communication.
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence handling client meetings independently, with global stakeholders.
- Strong ownership and accountability.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Positive attitude with a continuous learning mindset.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong collaboration and leadership qualities, and high attention to detail.
Preferred experience
- AI-enabled applications, industrial IoT or cloud-based applications.
- Enterprise applications and SaaS products.
- Manufacturing or healthcare domain.
- Agile / Scrum environment.
Qualification & certifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or a related discipline.
- ISTQB Foundation or Advanced, preferred.
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), preferred.
- Agile / Scrum or Selenium certification, preferred.
