Software Solutions Architect

Job Description

We are looking for a talented and customer-focused Software Solutions Architect to join our Business Development team. The ideal candidate will have strong software development knowledge, cloud computing expertise, and excellent customer-facing skills.

In this role, you will work closely with customers and prospects in precision diagnostics, pharmaceutical, and agricultural biotechnology sectors to understand their business challenges and design scalable software solutions. You will be responsible for translating business requirements into actionable technology solutions, preparing technical proposals, and leading small teams to develop and demonstrate software applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with customers across diagnostics, pharmaceutical, and agricultural biotechnology sectors to understand their business and technical requirements.
• Translate customer challenges into practical, scalable, and cost-effective software solutions.
• Define solution architectures, technology approaches, resource requirements, project timelines, and cost estimates.
• Prepare technical proposals, solution recommendations, and Statements of Work (SoWs).
• Design and support the integration of laboratory and R&D systems with data platforms and enterprise applications.
• Work with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and data integration frameworks to enable efficient data aggregation and processing.
• Understand and support integrations involving Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN), and data warehouses.
• Apply AI tools and emerging technologies to improve software development productivity and solution delivery.
• Lead small, agile teams of 24 members to develop software applications, build prototypes, and demonstrate solutions.
• Maintain documentation of recurring customer challenges, proposed solutions, and business outcomes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams to deliver business-aligned technology solutions.
• Stay updated on developments in cloud computing, AI, software architecture, and system integration.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software development.
• At least 2 years of experience in customer-facing or client-interaction roles.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, application development, and system integration.
• Good knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Working knowledge of AI technologies, AI-assisted software development tools, and emerging technology trends.
• Experience in translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ability to understand complex or ambiguous customer requirements and propose suitable solutions.
• Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in preparing technical proposals, solution designs, effort estimates, or project plans.
• Ability to lead small development teams and deliver proof-of-concept solutions.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
• Experience with Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) systems.
• Knowledge of ETL pipelines, data aggregation, data warehouses, and data integration frameworks.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, diagnostics, or laboratory R&D environments.
• Exposure to business development, pre-sales, technical consulting, or solution engineering.
• Familiarity with AI-driven applications, drug discovery, or precision medicine.
• Experience working with international clients and distributed teams.

Work Model & Other Details

• Employment Type: Full-Time / Permanent
• Work Location: Remote – India
• Reporting To: U.S. Head of Solutions
• Working Hours: Reasonable overlap with U.S. time zones is required.
• Travel: Occasional travel to the United States may be required. Visa sponsorship will be provided for eligible candidates who do not already hold a B1/B2 visa.
