Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quality Assurance Tester role based in the Pune Division. The Quality Assurance Tester will design, execute, and document manual test cases to validate functionality, performance, and reliability of production-grade software. The role involves reviewing requirements and specifications, identifying gaps and edge cases, and collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to clarify expected behavior. Day-to-day responsibilities include test planning, test execution, defect reporting, regression testing, and validating fixes before release to ensure zero critical post-launch issues. The tester will also contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, maintain clear test documentation, and support compliance and audit needs across different domains such as fintech, banking, and enterprise SaaS.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Quality Assurance and Manual Testing skills, with experience validating complex, production-grade software systems.
• Candidates should possess Test Execution and Test Cases planning skills, including designing, organizing, and running structured test scenarios and regression suites.
• Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret requirements, identify edge cases, and investigate root causes of defects.
• Experience working in HR Tech domain or enterprise SaaS, and familiarity with regulatory or security requirements, is highly beneficial.
• Knowledge of basic testing tools, defect tracking systems (e.g., JIRA), and software development lifecycle practices is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional engineering teams are required.
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is advantageous.
