Software Lead - Instrument Cluster or Infotainment

Key responsibilities 

•  Lead architecture, design, and development of core software components for Smart Cluster and digital cockpit platforms. Define, document, and evolve system software architecture with a focus on scalability, modularity, functional safety, cybersecurity, and performance. Architect multi-processor systems involving a Qualcomm SoC (high-compute domain) and Renesas / RH850 MCU (real-time & safety domain).
• Define system partitioning, memory maps, IPC frameworks, diagnostics, and system state-management strategies. Drive the transition toward a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) for reusable, scalable service modules. Architect, configure, and optimise QNX, Linux, and Android-based environments for cross-domain interoperability and minimal boot time.
• Lead hardware bring-up activities, including BSP configuration, clocking, memory initialisation, and device-tree integration.
• Review and guide low-level driver development for display pipelines, memory subsystems, and automotive communication interfaces (CAN/CAN FD, SPI, IC, Ethernet).
• Ensure robust inter-processor communication (IPC) mechanisms between SoC and MCU with deterministic behaviour, redundancy, and fail-safe fallback paths.
• Define software architectural elements supporting ISO 26262 ASIL-B/C requirements, including safety mechanisms such as watchdog integration, CRC, monitoring, error handling, and safe-state transitions.
• Contribute to cybersecurity architecture aligned with automotive standards, ensuring secure communication and system hardening. 
• Architect secure FOTA (Firmware Over-The-Air) frameworks, including versioning, rollback, integrity checks, and update orchestration.

Essential Qualifications 

• 7+ years of automotive embedded software experience, with exposure to Smart Cluster / eCockpit.
• Proven hands-on experience with Qualcomm, NXP, TI, MediaTek or Renesas automotive platforms.
• Strong expertise in Embedded C, with solid understanding of C++/Java/Rust, RTOS concepts, and multi-core programming.
• In-depth knowledge of QNX and/or Linux kernel, device driver development, and hardware bring-up.
• Practical experience in ISO 26262, ASPICE, and automotive software architectural design principles.
• Familiarity with Hypervisor integration, bootloader configuration, and system startup optimisation.
• Excellent system-level problem-solving, design review, and cross-domain collaboration skills.
