Role Description The Software Intern (Algo Trading) will work full time in a remote capacity, collaborating with the team to design, develop, and test algorithmic trading software. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing trading strategies in code, working with databases to store and analyze market data, and assisting in software design and documentation. The intern will help create tools for backtesting and monitoring strategies, perform functional and performance testing, and troubleshoot technical issues. The role involves learning and applying best practices in software development, participating in code reviews, and supporting continuous improvement of existing trading systems.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Software Development and Software Design, with the ability to translate trading concepts into maintainable code.
• Proficiency in Programming (e.g., Python, C++, or Java) and familiarity with algorithmic problem-solving and data structures.
• Experience or coursework involving Databases, including designing schemas, writing queries, and handling structured market data.
• Understanding of Testing principles, including unit, integration, and performance testing for software reliability.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Interest in financial markets, trading strategies, and quantitative analysis; prior exposure to algo trading is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly with team members.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and basic software development workflows is beneficial.
