Position Overview

Evernorth is seeking a highly experienced Software Engineering Senior Advisor to lead the design, development, and modernization of scalable healthcare technology platforms. This role will be responsible for architecting and delivering enterprise-grade solutions leveraging FHIR APIs, Golang, Node.js, Python, React, React Micro Frontends (MicroFE), and Scala. The individual will drive technical strategy, engineering excellence, cloud-native development, and innovation across healthcare interoperability and digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of scalable healthcare applications and platforms.
• Design, develop, and enhance FHIR-compliant APIs to support healthcare interoperability and data exchange.
• Build high-performance backend services using Golang, Node.js, Python, and Scala.
• Develop modern, responsive user interfaces using React and React Micro Frontend architecture.
• Drive API-first and microservices-based development practices across engineering teams.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, designers, and business stakeholders to define technical solutions.
• Establish engineering standards, coding practices, security controls, and quality frameworks.
• Lead technical reviews, architecture discussions, and performance optimization initiatives.
• Mentor senior engineers and provide technical leadership across multiple teams.
• Ensure solutions meet scalability, security, compliance, and reliability requirements.
• Support CI/CD implementation, DevOps automation, and cloud-native deployment strategies.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve healthcare platforms.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 13-16 years of software engineering experience with strong expertise in enterprise application development.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing FHIR APIs and healthcare interoperability solutions.
• Strong programming expertise in:
• Golang
• Node.js
• Python

• Extensive experience with:
• React.js
• React Micro Frontend (MicroFE) Architecture
• RESTful APIs
• Microservices Architecture
• Event-Driven Systems
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, containerization, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated testing frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare or HealthTech domain experience.
• Knowledge of HL7, FHIR standards, healthcare claims, benefits, or pharmacy systems.
• Experience leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
• Exposure to cloud-native architectures and platform modernization programs.
• Experience working within Agile and SAFe environments.
