About this role
Software Engineer (Remote) Strong Engineers. Builders. Problem Solvers. We are looking for Software Engineers who enjoy building real software, solving challenging problems, and continuously learning new technologies. This is not a role for someone who only completes assigned tasks. We are looking for engineers who actively build things outside of work, contribute to open source, explore new technologies, and take ownership of the software they create. If you enjoy understanding complex systems, writing clean and maintainable code, reviewing code, and building products that make an impact, we'd love to hear from you. About Trippl Trippl (formerly Pilot Tech) delivers innovative technology solutions that help organizations accelerate digital transformation. We specialize in intelligent process automation, AI integration, digital product engineering, compliance solutions, and managed services. Our engineering culture values ownership, curiosity, simplicity, and continuous improvement. We build production-grade software while encouraging experimentation with modern technologies and engineering practices. Role Description This is a full-time remote Software Engineer position. As a Software Engineer at Trippl, you will:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems
- Develop APIs and production-ready applications
- Debug, optimize, and improve existing systems
- Collaborate with engineers through code reviews and technical discussions
- Build internal platforms and developer tools
- Explore AI-assisted development workflows and engineering automation
- Contribute to architectural and technical decisions
- Continuously improve code quality, performance, and reliability What We Are Looking For We care more about what you've built than where you've worked. Strong Engineering Skills You should have:
- Strong Computer Science fundamentals
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and software design principles
- Experience building and maintaining production applications
- Strong knowledge of Git and collaborative development workflows Technical Experience We're looking for engineers who have experience building and shipping real software. While many of our projects involve modern backend technologies, we care far more about strong engineering fundamentals than experience with any specific framework or language. Ideal candidates should demonstrate:
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining production-quality software
- Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, databases, and system design
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Experience working with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Confidence in learning new languages, frameworks, and technologies as required
- Curiosity, ownership, and a mindset of continuous improvement Whether your background is in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, Go, C#, Rust, C++, or another modern technology stack, we're interested in engineers who can solve problems, learn quickly, and build high-quality software. Open Source & Personal Projects We highly value engineers who actively build outside of work. Preferred candidates have:
- An active GitHub profile
- Meaningful open source contributions
- Experience collaborating through pull requests and code reviews
- Personal software projects that demonstrate technical depth
- Evidence of continuous learning and experimentation AI Experience Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Building AI or LLM-powered applications
- OpenAI APIs or similar platforms
- LangChain, LlamaIndex, MCP, or AI agents
