Software Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Software Engineer at Round Digital. The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions, with a focus on back-end services, APIs, and integrations aligned with enterprise client requirements. Daily responsibilities include writing clean and efficient code, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, participating in code reviews, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as architects, project managers, and QA engineers. The role involves working on cloud-based and AI-enabled applications, implementing secure and performant software components, and contributing to technical documentation and best practices. The Software Engineer will also support continuous improvement by evaluating new technologies, optimizing existing systems, and ensuring solutions meet security, compliance, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
• Hands-on experience in Software Development and Programming using modern languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and database integration.
• Solid understanding and practical application of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and design patterns.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and awareness of cybersecurity and compliance considerations in enterprise environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative setting, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and manage tasks independently.
• Experience with data analytics, AI/ML integration, or distributed systems is an asset.
