About this role
The Mission: Redefining How the World Books Flights ✈️ Every time a traveler books a flight online, a massive, hidden web of complex infrastructure spins into motion. Historically, legacy airline distribution has been slow, rigid, and fragmented.
Glid is here to change that. Backed by the aviation heavyweights at Aeroprime Group, Glid is building the ultimate, lightning-fast B2B airline retailing platform. We connect global airlines directly to travel sellers via next-gen, plug-and-play APIs, utilizing the latest
IATA NDC and XML standards. We are looking for brilliant, product-minded
Software Engineers who aren't afraid of high-throughput systems, complex data mapping, and millions of real-time search queries. If you want to see your code directly impact global travel, keep reading.
What You’ll Do (The Challenge) You will be dealing with heavy data, ultra-low latency requirements, and complex integrations.
- Own the Core Engine: Design, build, and optimize our unified B2B distribution API layer that bridges low-cost carriers (LCCs) and full-service network carriers.
- Wrangle Airline APIs: Dive deep into NDC (New Distribution Capability), XML/JSON APIs, and GDS/PSS reservation engines to build reliable, scalable integration adapters.
- Scale for Speed: Optimize database queries, caching strategies, and data parsing pipelines to ensure flight searches return results in milliseconds.
- Microservices Mastery: Write clean, modular, and testable code in a modern cloud-native, microservices-driven architecture.
- Collaborate & Ship: Work hand-in-hand with product managers and architecture leads to roll out new features, dynamic pricing engines, and ticketing modules rapidly.
Who You Are (The Ideal Fit) You are an engineer who gets a thrill out of making complex backend systems run smoothly.
- The Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience.
Direct experience working with airline APIs, GDS systems (Amadeus, Sabre), travel-tech platforms, or complex transactional Fintech APIs is highly valued.
- Your Tech Toolkit:
- Strong proficiency in backend languages like
Node.js, Python, Go, or Java .
- Deep understanding of
RESTful and SOAP/XML APIs , web services, and data serialization.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and fast caching layers (
Redis ).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (
AWS or GCP) and Docker/Kubernetes containerization.
- The Mindset: You treat API design as an art form. You care about edge cases, error handling, rate limiting, and building systems that simply do not crash under load.
Why You’ll Love Working at Glid
- Real Impact: You are joining at a hyper-growth stage where your architectural choices will define the platform's future.
- Best of Both Worlds: Get the agility, fast pace, and massive ownership of a tech startup, backed by the financial stability and deep domain network of the Aeroprime Group.
- Top-Tier Tech Stack: No legacy baggage here. We build with modern, cloud-native tools and cut out the bureaucratic red tape so you can ship code faster.
- Competitive Perks: Great compensation, comprehensive health benefits, flexible hybrid schedules, and an office environment packed with brilliant, travel-obsessed minds.
Ready to build the future of airline tech? Don't just send a generic resume. Tell us about a complex API integration you've managed, or a time you optimized a slow-running system.
