Software Engineer

1. Preparation of Program methodology / Design documents’ for Various test programs / process threads used for checking the various sub-systems of Missile System.
2. Embedded software development using C & C++.
3. Development of Application software in Real Time Operating System like QNX / Embedded Linux / RT Linux. Development of Software Simulator Applications to validate the functionality of the Application Software of Checkout Equipment.
5. Development of Application software to interface the systems on digital data bus communication standard (MIL-STD-1553B). Utilization of tools for Source code management, software development life cycle and version control.
7. Customizing RTOS kernels and drivers for specific hardware platforms to enable secure and reliable operation.
8. Conduct unit testing, integration testing and use debugging techniques to ensure software reliability and performance.
9. Evaluation, selection and implementation of applications in third-party hardware by leveraging their APIs and SDKs.
10. Integrate and modify device drivers, board support code and SDK provided by hardware developing agency.
11. Develop custom software interfaces or middleware to bridge the gap between the application and the hardware. Develop and test drivers for peripherals and other hardware components, including creating Hardware Abstraction Layers (HALs) to ensure software portability.
13. Preparation of the System / Software requirements and Design / Development / Testing documents in line with industry standards for compliance with the requirements of ‘Independent Verification & Validation’ (IV&V). Coordinate with Industrial Partner / hardware development teams / IV&V team for Debugging / testing of the system.
15. Ensuring the framework of SDLC process as per industry standards.
16. Ensuring the reliability / quality of the application software as per industry standards.
17. Hands on experience in development of application software in Real Time Operating System like QNX / Embedded Linux / RT Linux.
18. Should have thorough understanding of RTOS concepts including task scheduling, memory management, inter-task communication (like semaphores and message queues), synchronization, real time constraints and interrupt handling.
19. Familiarity with microprocessors / microcontrollers and understanding of registers, interrupts and peripherals.
20. Experience in working with Military digital data bus communication standard (MIL-STD-1553B).
21. Experience in working with source code management tools, software development life cycle tools and version control tools.
22. Familiarity with hardware interfaces and communication protocols like UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet.
