Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Configuration Management Engineer with experience in configuration management, system administration, scripting, and Windows desktop application deployment. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in PowerShell, Batch scripting, InstallShield, and programming languages such as C++, C#, and VB.NET.

The candidate will be responsible for automating deployment activities, managing software configurations, and supporting the packaging and release of Windows desktop applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage configuration management activities and system administration tasks.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell and Batch scripting.
• Create, maintain, and troubleshoot software installers and packages using InstallShield.
• Work with C++, C#, VB.NET, HTML, JavaScript, and related technologies.
• Support Windows desktop application development, packaging, installation, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and resolve software configuration-related problems.
• Maintain version control and configuration baselines using TFS and Git.
• Collaborate with development, testing, and release teams to ensure smooth software delivery.
• Support database-related activities and queries using MS SQL Server, where required.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a relevant technical stream.
• 2 to 6 years of overall relevant experience in configuration management, system administration, or software deployment.
• Hands-on experience with PowerShell, Batch scripting, and InstallShield.
• Programming knowledge of C++, C#, VB.NET, HTML, and JavaScript.
• Understanding of Windows desktop application development and deployment processes.
• Good troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Knowledge of MS SQL Server, database design, and query optimization.
• Experience with version control tools such as TFS and Git.
• Familiarity with the WiX Toolset for Windows desktop application packaging.
• Exposure to software release management and deployment automation.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with hands-on experience in Windows application packaging, installer development, configuration management, and deployment automation will be preferred.
