Role Overview

Build modern, scalable user experiences that help organizations deliver reliable and intuitive customer interactions through Genesys Cloud. As a Software Engineer focused on UI development, you will own frontend capabilities from design through delivery, shaping responsive experiences used across cloud-based products. You will partner with Product, UX, Backend, and QA teams to make architectural and implementation decisions that improve usability, performance, accessibility, and maintainability. Key Responsibilities

• Develop responsive, scalable web applications that deliver simple, reliable, and high-quality user experiences across Genesys Cloud products
• Design reusable UI components and frontend patterns using React or Vue.js and TypeScript or JavaScript to improve consistency, maintainability, and development efficiency
• Drive frontend features from requirements through delivery, making implementation decisions that balance user experience, technical quality, scalability, and performance
• Partner with Product, UX, Backend, and QA teams to translate product requirements into intuitive experiences and drive alignment across the development lifecycle
• Improve web performance, responsiveness, and reliability by identifying bottlenecks, troubleshooting complex UI issues, and implementing effective optimizations
• Strengthen software quality through unit testing, UI testing, automated testing, code reviews, and maintainable engineering practices
• Contribute to frontend architecture, state management, design patterns, CI/CD practices, and technical discussions that improve engineering quality at scale
• Apply AI-assisted development tools where appropriate to improve coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and code review workflows

Required Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of relevant software engineering experience with a strong focus on frontend or UI development
• Strong experience with React or Vue.js and TypeScript or JavaScript
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, responsive web design, and reusable component development
• Demonstrated understanding of UI architecture, state management, design patterns, and scalable component design
• Good understanding of REST APIs and frontend-backend integration
• Experience with unit testing, UI testing, and automated testing practices
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and modern software development practices
• Good understanding of web performance, optimization techniques, debugging, and problem solving
• Demonstrated ability to independently take features from requirements through delivery while collaborating effectively with globally distributed teams
• Strong communication, collaboration, ownership, and continuous learning capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing Genesys Cloud, SaaS, or other cloud-based products
• Familiarity with AWS or comparable cloud platforms
• Knowledge of web accessibility principles and WCAG standards
• Experience working in Agile software development environments
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, debugging, documentation, or code reviews
• Familiarity with AI agentic tools or AI-enabled software development lifecycle practices
