Software Engineer

Job title: Software Engineer (Algorithm)

 Job Responsibility: 

• Design and develop camera calibration, FOV analysis, image processing, and computer vision algorithms for automotive vision and ADAS applications

. • Implement mathematical and algorithmic techniques including camera modeling, lens distortion correction, image rectification, feature extraction, object detection, and geometric measurements.

 • Develop high-quality software solutions in C/C++ following defined software architecture and coding standards.

 • Perform intrinsic and extrinsic camera calibration, camera alignment verification, coordinate transformation, and lens characterization. 

• Analyse and optimize camera Field of View (FOV), coverage area, blind spot detection, overlap regions, and camera positioning for vehicle applications.

 • Analyze and optimize algorithms for latency, memory consumption, computational complexity, and real-time performance.

 • Perform mathematical and statistical analysis of algorithm performance. 

 • Ensure algorithm robustness under varying operating conditions including illumination changes, noise, blur, scale variations, rotations, and environmental influences. 

• Evaluate third-party technologies, frameworks, libraries, and externally supplied algorithms against functional requirements.

 • Support the development of technical concepts, feasibility studies, and functional prototypes.

Knowledge:

Strong programming expertise in C/C++ with experience in developing production grade software. 

• Strong understanding of image processing and computer vision techniques

• Strong understanding of camera models, coordinate systems, perspective geometry, and projection transformations. • Hands-on experience with OpenCV or equivalent computer vision libraries. 

 • Proficiency in MATLAB for algorithm development, simulation, analysis, and validation. 

• Strong knowledge of algorithm complexity, optimization techniques, and real-time software development.

 • Familiarity with Visual Studio, debugging techniques, and software development tools.

 • Knowledge of camera systems, optical characteristics, image quality evaluation, and ADAS vision applications.

 • Good understanding of intrinsic parameters, extrinsic parameters, homography, reprojection error, and calibration methodologies.

 • Good verbal and written English communication skills.

Experience:

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Vision, or a related field. 

• 5-10 years of relevant industry experience in camera calibration, FOV analysis, image processing, computer vision, or algorithm development.

 • Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in C++ development. 

 • Proven experience in image processing, computer vision, and algorithm development.
