Role: Application Support Engineer – SQL Server BI
Experience: 5+ Years
Location: NTT Data offices at Noida/Bangalore/Hyderabad

The role needs work from office on all working days and assigned shifts as per the 24x7 shift roster.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer to provide support, maintenance, and enhancements for enterprise applications built on SQL Server BI technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SSIS, SSRS, SQL Server, ETL/BI processes, and PL/SQL, along with experience supporting production environments and driving continuous improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production support and enhancements for SQL Server-based applications and reporting solutions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot SSIS ETL jobs, data interfaces, and batch processes.
• Support, maintain, and enhance SSRS reports and dashboards.
• Analyze and resolve application, database, and data-related issues within SLA timelines.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and database objects.
• Implement application enhancements and performance improvements based on business requirements.
• Coordinate with business users, development teams, and infrastructure teams during incident resolution and releases.
• Maintain support documentation and participate in on-call support activities as required.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Hands-on expertise in SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
• Hands-on expertise in SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).
• Good understanding of BI, ETL, Data Warehousing, and Data Integration concepts.
• Good knowledge of PL/SQL and Oracle database concepts.
• Experience in application support, incident management, and problem management.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing tools such as ServiceNow.
