Role Overview

At Genesys, weve built the best cloud-based Customer Experience (CX) service offerings ever. It was built from the ground-up in the cloud and handles millions of interactions per day. We have hundreds of services deployed across global environments, and we push out dozens of product builds per day using a top-notch CI/CD pipeline.

You will help provide delivering software and solutions to various Genesys Cloud Service teams. As a global enterprise company, we have hundreds of microservices and tools and the operational overhead of manually making infrastructure changes does not scale. Your role will be to automate these tasks and make the individual services teams more efficient and feature focused. This team will build features to enhance the customer onboarding experience. You will coordinate closely with individual service teams to deliver solutions.

As a software engineer, you will be responsible for day-to-day development and maintenance of features. This role isnt building html templates or simple single page sites. You will be creating automation that will help roll changes out across hundreds of complex service teams.

To be successful, you need to have a strong understanding of modern programming language like Golang (or Java), various SDKs and REST API solutions. We need people who are strong problem solvers, who have a operational and developer operations mindset that want to make other teams more efficient. You need to be curious and keep abreast of new tools and technology. Being resourceful and detail-oriented is also a key to success on our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Standup with the team for open communication, idea sharing, supporting other team members, answering questions.
• Participate in code reviews to learn, grow, and teach team members.
• Develop automation tools for a wide-variety of problems spaces
• Unit, integration, and manually test code that youve developed.
• Look for areas of improvement, with the code, architecture, and infrastructure.
• Answer questions for other team members.
• Openly communicate progress and concerns.

Required Qualifications

• Youll need 3-5 years of in a language like Java, .NET or Golang. The more experience you have with Angular, Vue, Node, or React the better.
• You will need to have experience building backend REST APIs, ideally using Java, Golang or Kotlin.
• The problems we are trying to solve arent easy. You need to be willing to step in and help find solutions to the complex challenges.
• We dont just lock ourselves in the office all day. Having strong communication skills is a must for our team.
• Must be willing to provide technical guidance and leadership on projects across multiple technical teams to solve a problem
• Experience building AI-powered automation and agentic workflows - using LLMs, coding agents, or orchestration frameworks to drive multi-step tasks, integrate with APIs/SDKs, and reduce manual engineering toil across service teams.
