About this role
The Development Engineer, Software at HemoCue is responsible for updating software, documentation, and verifying design changes within the Sustaining Engineering department.
This position is part of the RD team located in Bangalore and will be on-site.
You will be part of Sustaining Engineering and report to the Director of Sustaining Engineering, located at the headquarter in Sweden. You will be responsible for planning, design, implementation, documentation, and test of software modules. Responsibilities
- Perform product support activities for current products, primary software activities
- Cross-functional work with other departments by solving customer problems related to software and connectivity
- coordinating, verifying and document changes to HemoCue products
- Execute and/or participate in product lifecycle activities
- University degree: Master of Science, Bachelor of Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience within computer science, programming or software and at least 3 years of work experience
- Knowledge of software development tools, design patterns and programming paradigms.
- Experience of developing and maintaining software applications using Microsoft .NET technologies (C#, .NET Framework and/or .NET Core/.NET)
- Experience with object-oriented software design, software architecture, and application lifecycle management
- Proficiency in source code management tools and experience with code reviews, automated builds, and testing
- Your main communication language will be English
- Experience working within a regulated development environment or quality management system (e.g., medical devices, IEC 62304, ISO 13485, FDA, Design Control or similar)
- Experience from product development of medical devices
- Experience from design changes for medical devices
- Cybersecurity
