Software Engineer

Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using React.js on the frontend and Node.js on the backend. • Design and manage relational data models and queries in PostgreSQL for application and MRV data. • Integrate and manage data flows from SCADA systems and field sensors/devices into the software platform. • Build and maintain APIs and services that connect field hardware, monitoring systems, and the core application. • Utilise AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudFormation, etc.) for application hosting and infrastructure support. • Manage deployment pipelines from development to production environments. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Carbon, and Product, to ensure smooth releases and reliable data pipelines. • Monitor system and SCADA data performance post-deployment. • Ensure security, scalability, and reliability of production systems. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the application and field-data integration layers. • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (B.Tech/B.E./B.Sc.). • Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on software development experience. • Strong proficiency in React.js and Node.js; solid working knowledge of PostgreSQL. • Best-in-class understanding of SCADA systems and experience integrating software with SCADA/industrial monitoring or sensor-based data systems.• Good working understanding of AWS cloud services. • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI is a plus. • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
