Software Engineer

We are looking for a Software Engineer to build the core systems powering Nurix AI's conversational agents. You will work across backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and frontend dashboards, enabling seamless integration between AI models and enterprise workflows. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy building scalable, real-time AI systems at the intersection of product, infrastructure, and machine learning.

The candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions:

Backend Development:

• Design and build scalable APIs using Python or Node.js .
• Develop backend services and microservices for AI/LLM applications.
• Build data ingestion and orchestration pipelines connecting AI models with enterprise systems.
• Ensure high performance, reliability, and security for production systems.

AI Integration and Platform Engineering:

• Integrate conversational AI and LLM models into production applications.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to deploy AI-powered features.
• Optimise latency, scalability, and reliability for real-time AI interactions.
• Support AI workflows, data-intensive services, and event-driven systems.

Frontend and Product Development:

• Build and maintain web interfaces using React or Next.js .
• Develop dashboards and enterprise-facing product features.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and AI services.

Engineering Collaboration:

• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Work closely with Product, AI Research, and Infrastructure teams.
• Contribute to a fast-paced, high-growth engineering culture.

Requirements:

• 4-8 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python or Node.js .
• Experience with React, Next.js, or similar frontend frameworks.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and Microservices Architecture.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with Docker and containerised applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and production-grade coding experience.
• Experience integrating AI/ML or data-intensive backend systems.
• Familiarity with WebSockets, real-time systems, or event-driven architectures.
• Exposure to MLOps or ML integration workflows.

Good to Have:

• Experience building AI or LLM-powered applications.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and scalable backend architecture.
• Experience with streaming or event-driven messaging systems.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud-native deployments.
