Join us as a Software Engineer
- This is an opportunity for a technically minded individual to join us as a Software Engineer
- Youll be designing, producing, testing and implementing working software, working across the lifecycle of the system
- Hone your existing software engineering skills and advance your career in this critical role
- We're offering this role at vice president level
What you'll do
Working in a permanent feature team, youll be building user-facing features using React 18 and TypeScript 5, developing and integrating APIs using Python/FastAPI or similar backend technologies. Youll also be liaising with principal engineers, architects in the domain and other key stakeholders to understand how the platform works and how it supports business objectives.
Youll also be:
- Working with Snowflake and analytical data services to support mortgage pricing and profitability modelling
- Designing complex data grids, calculations, forms and modelling workflows using Material UI, TanStack Table and React Hook Form
- Managing application state using Redux Toolkit, RTK Query and injected stores
- Developing within a microfrontend architecture using Module Federation
- Writing automated tests using Playwright, Jest and React Testing Library
- Supporting CI/CD, production deployments and ongoing application support
- Collaborating with Pricing Managers, analysts and engineers to deliver modelling and forecasting capabilities
The skills you'll need
Were looking for someone with strong full-stack engineering experience along with deep frontend expertise and the ability to build secure, reliable and maintainable applications. Youll also need proficiency in React 18, TypeScript 5 and modern frontend engineering practices. Experience working with Snowflake, SQL, REST APIs and data integration patterns is mandatory. You'll be expected to have strong debugging and problem-solving skills across frontend, API and data layers.
Additionally, youll demonstrate:
- Strong experience with Redux Toolkit, including dynamic reducer injection, RTK Query, useSelector and useDispatch
- Experience with Material UI v6, DataGrid, Date Pickers, Emotion, TanStack Table, React Hook Form and complex business workflows
- Experience with Webpack 5, Babel and Module Federation architectures
- Experience with Playwright, Jest, React Testing Library and MSW
- Experience with Git, GitLab CI/CD and Linux/WSL development environments
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
